We rally support for affordable housing projects in North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. We are clear supporters of projects that are bringing thousands of homes, childcare spaces, and new retail spaces to supplement our existing housing stock and retail areas.
We write letters of support for numerous projects and we attend public hearings together. We have cheered on numerous Delta residents who have spoken for the first time at public hearings. We host lively discussions and introduce dozens of Delta residents to each other and to the concepts of people-oriented places.

Campaigns
Yes for Ladner Village!
We campaigned for and supported the updates to the Ladner Village Area Plan. In response to misinformation about the planned changes, we created a page outlining why we were enthusiastic about the regulatory updates designed to spur new investment and opportunities in Ladner Village. We know there is still more work ahead to ensure these changes are implemented well and continue to reflect community needs.
Yes for Scott Road!
We advocated for more projects that bring affordable rentals, purpose-built housing, and townhomes to meet housing needs along the Scott Road corridor in North Delta and throughout our city’s established neighborhoods. We’re committed to continuing this work and supporting efforts that make these homes a reality.
Yes for Tsawwassen Town Centre!
We supported the push for redeveloping underused spaces in Tsawwassen Town Centre. These new homes and retail spaces represent a meaningful benefit to the community. We recognized that significant increases in density reflect long-overdue changes after decades of suppressed incremental growth—and we know the path forward will require sustained advocacy and collaboration.
Rebuilding our social fabric
These efforts in Delta are part of something bigger. This article from Strong Towns, “Let’s Roll Up Our Sleeves to Rebuild Our Social Fabric”, gets to the heart of what that looks like.
It highlights how shared, hands-on work—especially with people beyond our usual circles—builds trust, resilience, and real community. That’s deeply aligned with what we’re doing in housing advocacy, public engagement, and local organizing. When we gather to support a project or show up at a public hearing, we’re not just shaping cities—we’re stitching the social fabric back together.
